EMBRACE THE HEAT, SAFELY.

HPPS: High Performance Panel System

For the first time you can safely insulate & protect your X1C/E & P1S. HPPS enables higher chamber temperatures, increased energy efficiency, cold-environment operation, significantly reduced heat-up times, and superb chamber temperature uniformity.

HPPS is the first deployment of foamed silicone insulation in 3D Printing. Unlike existing solutions such as foam or mineral wool, HPPS is not flammable in an electrical fire nor emits dangerous, ultrafine particles. Furthermore, the HPPS install process is simple; not requiring any measuring, cutting, or complex, internal placement.

HPPS is simply the new standard.

Safety

Foamed Silicone

We weren't satisfied by the level of safety present in ANY existing material, neither should you.

HPPS is the first application of foamed silicone in 3D Printing, it doesn't catch fire in an electrical fire (unlike FR-Foam) nor does it emit ultrafine particles (like mineral wool).

Our Proprietary, Gen 4 Foamed Silicone is the Honey badger of foams, it doesn't give a sh*t.

Ease-of-Use

Deployability

We built HPPS for a quick & repeatable deployment for users with 1 to 100 machines. Unlike a DIY solution, the HPPS install is intuitive & rapid (under 3 minutes per machine); requiring no measurement, cutting, or added adhesive.

HPPS is built to just, work.

FAQ's

How does the ordering & batch system work?

When you order you are paying for the full unit & shipping all at once. We fill up our production batch then produce all the units in one efficient run, allowing us to buy raw materials at bulk rates and carry limited inventory. This enables us to bring a very high-end foamed silicone panel to market at 150$. Once all units are produced we ship them out to our users around the world. (This is the same system we utilized to ship 100 units out in Batch 1)

When will I receive my HPPS unit when I order in Batch 2?

We are targeting the end of June 2024 for shipment of Batch 2 HPPS our to customers.

Why does it cost so much vs DIY commodity foam?

Foamed silicone is very expensive to produce. There are approximately 100$ worth of raw materials utilized in the production of each HPPS panel set. The margins are tight once you factor in liquid cooled molds, quality control, packaging, selling-expenses, and test/evaluation units. HPPS is not a very profitable product but it is what our industry needs.

Do you offer discounts for bulk quantity ordering?

We do. Please email us at (requisition@ibwadditive.com). We are currently supporting large (print farm) operators, corporate, and governmental customers with HPPS.

Are the panels removable?

HPPS is designed to remain on the printer for the entirety of its service life.

That being said, HPPS can be removed and the backing adhesive can be removed with a general application of IPA (isopropyl alcohol) & 3M adhesive remover as required (we recommend 38987).

Can you print PLA/PETG with HPPS?

Yes, absolutely! All that is required to effectively mitigate the thermal insulation of HPPS is a riser for the top glass. We have specifically designed one for HPPS (https://makerworld.com/en/models/415774#profileId-317935) but many standard risers will work as well.

What about the front door gap & purge chute gap?

It is important that these areas are covered to let HPPS work best.

We created Door Seal 3 DS3 (https://makerworld.com/en/models/436681#profileId-341847) for the front door seal.

As for the purge chute, we have an air return coming that can be printed to cover this area. In the meantime we recommend you cover this area with a sealing print such as (https://www.printables.com/model/619502-bambu-lab-x1c-chute-cover-with-sliding-door)
